The opportunity to participate in quality professional development activities has always been one of the main benefits for NCCSA members. The NCCSA sponsors an annual educators’ convention in the fall, a two-day professional development activity every other summer, an annual administrators’ conference, a preschool conference every other summer, and a five-part faculty online professional development series.
The NCCSA is pleased to expand its online professional development program by offering tailored sessions for faculty members as well as administrators and principals.
New Sessions for Administrators and Principals – For several years, the NCCSA has scheduled five online professional development sessions for faculty members. For the 2026–2027 school year, the NCCSA is also scheduling two professional development opportunities for administrators and principals featuring invited guests and focused specifically on educational leadership. Each session will provide .1 NCCSA Official CEU (Category A) and cost $20 per attendee.
In addition to these sessions, the NCCSA is planning two separate online meetings for administrators and principals to encourage discussion, strengthen community, and increase networking: LeadNet Regional Connects. Because of the number of schools involved, the NCCSA will schedule these online gatherings in an East and West format so each meeting can be more convenient and beneficial for those in attendance. The two professional development opportunities featuring invited guests are designed specifically for professional development, while the additional online meetings will give principals and administrators an opportunity to network and meet with the NCCSA. Administrators and principals should register for the sessions they plan to attend.
For the faculty online sessions, the NCCSA has purposely 1) selected high-quality, popular speakers, 2) chosen topics that apply to a wide range of educators, and 3) formatted these five 60-minute sessions in an online format that makes it easy for anyone to participate. Each session will provide .1 NCCSA Official CEU (Category A) and cost $20 per attendee.
Note: Several schools have requested that the NCCSA schedule the first faculty online session during the time when most schools hold beginning-of-the-year in-service for faculty members. To accommodate this request, we have scheduled Dr. Cathy Dotson to speak on Wednesday, August 12, at 3:30 p.m., allowing schools to use this first faculty session as part of their in-service schedule. Please register by August 3 to take part in Session I.
Please review the registration packet HERE for more information and details on how to register for any or all of these sessions.
We are certain that these sessions will be highly valuable to your faculty, and we encourage every member school to take advantage of this opportunity.
