Legislative Oversight & Legal Assistance

State and Federal legislative activity is monitored continually. Special attention is given to the following: pending legislation, actions of governmental agencies, current federal and state laws pertaining to religious institutions, and other matters of concern to Christian schools. A rapid alert system is used to call NCCSA schools and churches, the mobile phones of administrators and pastors, and concurrently an email database is utilized in the case that any important information can be communicated from the state office to NCCSA membership leaders in minutes.

Whenever the need arises, NCCSA member schools can call the AACS staff attorney for immediate legal assistance. The attorney can give opinions in areas of need and interest to Christian schools. From time to time, various legal reports are published to give instruction and guidelines. In addition, the state office can assist member schools in securing competent legal counsel when needed.
