Executive Staff

The NCCSA was formed in 1992 when the North Carolina Christian School Activities Association (NCCSAA) and the corresponding legislative organization combined to form the NCCSA. Dr. Joe Haas was selected as NCCSA’s first executive director and served for 30 years from 1992 to 2022. 

Because of his knowledge and leadership of the various NCCSA programs and services, as well as his tenure of over 20 years as the NCCSA Director of Programs and Services, the NCCSA Board of Directors decided to begin the process to interview Dr. Jason Haas as the NCCSA’s next executive director. Dr. Jason Haas began with the NCCSA in the summer of 1999. On February 17, 2022, the NCCSA Board of Directors voted unanimously to offer Dr. Jason Haas the executive director position, and on April 14, 2022, Dr. Jason Haas accepted this position and became the NCCSA’s current executive director on July 1, 2022 Dr. Jason Haas accepted this position and became the NCCSA’s current executive director on July 1, 2022.

Dr. Haas earned a bachelor’s degree in education in 1998, a master’s degree in educational leadership in 2002, an education specialist degree in educational leadership in 2012, and a doctorate degree in educational leadership in 2016. Dr. Haas directs the day-to-day operations of the NCCSA and serves as the organizational lead in the products and services offered to Christian schools in North Carolina. 

In addition to the Executive Director position, the NCCSA employs other executive leaders, executive assistants, and other personnel who assist in managing day-to-day operations and responsibilities associated with the NCCSA. The association also maintains agreements with numerous contract employees who assist in supervising various areas including athletics, fine arts, legislative monitoring, certification, school accreditation, staff development, and other programs and services offered by the NCCSA.
