2018 Southeast Christian School Convention

On September 26-28, 2018, the NCCSA will join the GACS (Georgia Association of Christian Schools) and SCACS (S.C. Association of Christian Schools) to host the Southeast Christian School Convention at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Nearly 1,800 Christian Educators and over 100 exhibitors attend this very popular event.

1. Hurricane Florence Road Conditions – As you know, many roads are still impacted by Hurricane Florence. Please research the best route to the convention center. In our research, we have found that Google Maps is extremely accurate in showing road closings and the best alternate route to the convention center. The NC DOT and SC DOT maps will be of assistance as well. 
   1. In addition, we are sharing the following information we received from the Myrtle Beach Convention Center: 
      We’re happy to report that overall, the Myrtle Beach area fared well and only suffered minor damage from the storm. A couple have reported minor water intrusion issues and have been cleaning up and making repairs, but most hotels are open now or will be by the weekend. Those planning to visit this week and next should contact their accommodations directly for their latest status. Those traveling by road this week should be aware of flooding and road closures to the west and north of the area. They should plan ahead and be prepared for lengthy travel times and detours. They can find the latest information on SCDOT.org or 511sc.org.
