Important Date Changes in 2015

Thank you to those who submitted the 2015 Convention surveys. As you know, because the NCCSA utilized the Greensboro location in 2013, we were pushed out of our normal cycle and the preferred “last weekend” format in September.

In following the data from the surveys, it is apparent that the October 15-16, 2015, dates in Greensboro, N.C. at the Koury Convention Center are best for the majority of NCCSA members.

To make this happen, three athletic date changes will need to take place.

  1. The regular season for soccer/volleyball will need to end on Friday, October 9, 2015, instead of Tuesday, October 13, 2015.
  2. Because the convention dates now fall on regional playoff dates, the two playoffs are now Tuesday, October 13, and Tuesday, October 20, in 2015.
  3. Also, we did not want the athletic meeting the day before the convention, so the 2015 fall athletic meeting will be Monday, October 12.

As you know, the NCCSA historically does not change dates; however, in this situation, we trust this 14-month notice will be of assistance in your planning. The 2015-2016 calendars will be available sometime in October.

Unfortunately, there are still some schools that marked they could not attend these dates. Hopefully, many of these schools will be able to make arrangements to attend, as these dates were best for the majority of NCCSA members.

Again, the 2015 NCCSA Educators’ Convention has been moved to Thursday and Friday, October 15-16, 2015, at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, N.C.

Thank you for your understanding.
